Funds managed by Alpina Partners acquired a majority stake in The Project Group

Funds managed by Alpina Management GmbH (“Alpina Partners” or “Alpina”) acquired a majority stake in The Project Group Informationstechnologie GmbH (“TPG”), an international provider for software solutions and consulting services focused on project portfolio management (“PPM”). Alpina’s investment in TPG enables the company to follow its growth path and strengthen its international market position for its PPM software solutions and services.

TPG was founded in 1998 by Stavros Georgantzis and supports large corporations as well as medium-sized businesses to digitize and enhance PMOs as well as portfolio, project and resource management. Today, the company serves more than 700 customers from various industries. Headquartered in Munich, the company employs more than 100 employees across various locations.

TPG offers own software solutions as well as PPM products based on its longstanding partnerships with Microsoft and Planisware. The company’s own solutions cover a broad range of functionalities supporting project management, portfolio and multi-project management, resource management, planning, reporting as well as data exchange and integration.
